2. I know that it was quite simple to set up and use Guitar Hero 3 guitar from PS3 when I was using Windows 7. Now, my new PC already has Windows 8. And, while my PS3 is long gone, I still kept the guitar, because I could use it with my PC game. For some reason tho, Windows 8 is not recognizing the device anymore.

My question is is there a way to mess with the guitar to make my ps3 believe it is a ps3 Compatible device? I bought this ps2 guitar hero world tour only to find out that the ps2 cd scanner doesn’t work so now I’m stuck with 2 guitars that only can work on regular ps2 guitar hero. I don’t want to spend 60$ for new ps3 guitars.. please help.
Xplorer on ps3? I’ve been trying to play multiplayer on ps3 and needed a second guitar but, I don’t want to spend $70 for a guitar and another $40 for the dongle, so I’m trying to find a way to use my xplorer on my ps3 or maybe my ps2 guitar. Ive already tried to use Ps3xPad to no avail.
So no you can't use just the dual shock 2 controller to play anything on the game. They dropped that support of using the dual sock 2 controller for the guitar parts after Guitar Hero 3 came out, and they have no plans on putting that playability back in anytime soon.
